On this day, we had breakfast reservations for Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort at 7:45.
While we were waiting for our table, Olivia "called" Grammy or Woody... I can't remember which. "Calling" them involved holding my Blackberry to her ear while she pretended to talk to them.
The food was good, nothing super special, just your regular breakfast buffet. And we got to see Goofy, Mickey, Donald, Minnie, and Pluto:

After breakfast we headed out to Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom is an ok park to me. If I had to choose 1 park to skip it would be this one. I don't find there's a lot to do, especially not to fill an entire day.
** On Day 1 (Sunday) we had gotten Piglet a Pink Disney balloon at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It cost $10 and had a guarantee-if it broke they'd replace it. So we left it tied to the stroller during the whole trip. It became a pain in the ass when the wind was blowing and you were trying to navigate through crowds- it was always reaching out and bopping strangers who seemed to be annoyed by it-, but it made the stroller easier to spot in a sea of strollers.
As soon as we made it through the gates of AK we were met by a Cast Member who said we had to leave Piglet's precious balloon at Guest Relations and we could pick it up when we were leaving. It was then that I remembered balloons and straws were prohibited in this park b/c of the animals. Piglet of course had a fit and it took quite a few minutes of explaining that we'd get it back before she calmed down.
Once the balloon situation was solved, Tony wanted to look at hats. I don't recall him actually buying 1, but I did manage to snap a picture of Bear trying 1 on:
We headed straight to the Kilimanjaro Safaris
And then we walked a few trails where we saw this guy:
He was yawning.
And we spent probably an hour looking at all of the animals on the Tree of Life. There was a Cast Member who told us how many animals are carved into it and how long it took them to do it, but I don't remember those specs. (I just did a Google search, there are 325 animals on this tree!!)
After the Tree, we headed into "It's Tough to be a Bug." Side note: We saw every 3-D show at Disney. It was so fun to see Piglet's reaction to the shows. We all really wanted to just watch her instead of the show.

After the show, we headed toward Dinoland. We checked to see if Piglet was tall enough to ride "Dinosaur" but she wasn't. Cool thing, though, the Cast Member gave her a Fast Pass to use on her next visit when she is tall enough! There was 1 ride in Dinoland for Piglet and nothing else for her, so we rode it. (The dinosaur version of Dumbo)
After this, Piglet was getting sleepy and Bear was content to do nothing, so Tony & I left them to find a resting spot while we rode Expedition Everest. We went for the line but were stopped by a Cast Member. The ride was having "technical difficulties" and was closed until further notice. We stood to the side for a few minutes to see if the ride would open again and then a few people who had already been in line started coming back out, so we decided it might be something serious and we could live without riding.
We went off in search of Piglet & Bear but couldn't find them in 1 direction so we turned around. When we got back in front of Everest, we realized the ride was boarding again so we got back in line.
It was pretty cool, I actually got a little nervous in spots, too! After the ride was over, we found Bear & Piglet (passed out)
and headed back to Pop Century. We had done all we wanted to at AK and we had an early dinner reservation so it was perfect.
Dinner was at The Polynesian Resort, the "Spirit of Aloha Polynesian Luau." We were running late.... AGAIN, but apparently the whole show and all the guests were too. We had to wait in line to get our picture taken (we didn't buy it and I didn't use my camera to take a pic of us either), and then had to wait around to be seated.
Finally the show was beginning. Everyone was a little bit quiet and you could tell we were all tired. But we dug into the dinner while the show started. At some point in the middle of dinner & the show, Bear fussed at Piglet and I questioned what she had done (just curious!). Bear got mad, grabbed Piglet and walked out of dinner. Then Toy got mad b/c that had happened so as soon as dessert was done, he left and there I was sitting at a table for 4 all by myself! Finally Bear brought Piglet back we got to watch the last 15 minutes of the show together....
The food was better than the show, but even the food was ok. It won't be a must see for our next trip.
So our little explosion at dinner were the fireworks for that night. Tony disappeared and we didn't see him for the rest of the night- which is typical when we're on vacation and he gets aggravated. After dinner, we headed back to Pop Century- it was definitely bedtime for EVERYONE.
Next up: A much needed day off- some souvenir shopping, laundry, swimming, and just hanging out at Pop Century.
